Reflection, I needed this tonight

So, my heart melts and I am instantly taken back to each of these moments in time.
How intensely thankful I am for photography and those in the pictures.
There is so much to do before they find their way beyond our home. Where will they go and how will they get there... By grace they will.

Happy 11th Birthday Sweet Sam!

Thanks to Sydney my (niece) this pictures is for my the pic of the summer! Thanks for taking this Syd!!

My first born of the girls (therefore first born tendancies - according to Dr. Lehman's book on first borns!) but third in the family has grown into such a precious young lady. Samantha is truly a gift that keeps on giving. She is constantly creating, giving gifts, caring for her siblings, making incredibly creative desserts and arranging platters of goodies. She has a spark that I know God has blessed her with that will carry her through life.

My verse for Samantha
Matthew 6:33
Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

I love you Samantha E. F!

relaxing with the birds

Watching and waiting allows me time to...relax.
What kind of word is that these days? Even if I take a few moments that seems to fill my soul cup to the brim.
I marvel at the bravery these birds have to fly right by me and perch, look around sneak a seed and off they go.
I fed them at that moment, selfishly I do that so I can observe them close up.
I have always loved watching nature unfold in front of my eyes. From a thunderstorm rolling in, the sun rising and setting or birds taking care of their brood.

...caught taking a picture

Taking photos is relaxing, especially moments like this! My children, my favourite subjects!

1 John 4:7

Let us love one another with the love that comes from you. And as we love each other, live in us, Lord, and make your love complete in us.

My prayer today....

Letting your child be...well who he is!

This represents so much of who Jack is...a builder, creator or many wonderful things. Lately he has been designing his own lego and hoping to create this at home.

What I have learned again (I am always learning) is simply that Jack is his own person with unque gifts that God has designed just for HIS glory! Like this lego, the design had a purpose. Jack created this and God enabled Jack to be this creative person.

What I love about homeschooling is that when I do stop to allow mornings to be lego mornings and outdoor play he is full of JOY! Don't get me wrong, fractions are there to digest as well...but I love the balance and the lack of stress to allow him to be free to be who he is!

Aah Jack, I love ya!!!!

Looking through his eyes....

When you take the time to look through his eyes the world turns a different colour. I see things that I missed. I notice things of a unique colour. I open my eyes to his world. That is when you can hold the heart of your child and say I love you in a precious way.

Aah the  memories of warmth together.

precious girls...I think one of my fav pics ever of the girls together!

She grew up on this trip...I watched and marveled at how God is changing her into a beautiful young woman!

She could have slept on the lounge chair on the beach. So... we brought the cushion inside and put it by our bed! She was happy....

We met Sean the dolphin and wow what can I say...he was beautiful....

Oh Jack the playful one just soaking up the sun and water!

Sara taking time to discover the beach
