Noel Piper: Faithful Women and their Extraordinary God

www.desiringGod.org

Noel Piper allows the reader to engage for a short time in the lives of five incredible women through time. She begins with Sarah Edwards, Lilias Trotter, Gladys Aylward, Esther Ahn Kim and Helen Roseveare.
I have only read the first two women and am inspired, convicted and educated all at once. Understanding our past is fundamental to how we presently live. I read about these women with the verse she opens with in her introduction, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8) as a pressing theme! That ignites me to read on...

They had access to the same God I do today! These women accomplished greatness in His name where they were. That is was I want to do.
These women lived in different eras and countries with the same God and moved mountains!
Get it!

John MacArthur: Twelve Extraordinary Women
www.gty.org Grace To You

Just started reading chapter one. If you want to understand biblical feminity, John MacArthur truly presents the theme with strength and stirs my soul to be who God called me to be for my husband and children. That is only part of chapter one! Can't wait to read on....

Lauren Scruggs: Still Lo Lo

What a story of faith and courage. Her family is a fortress. Truly Christ's hands and feet through her pain and sadness. She triumphs because of her strength in Christ alone. The song "Restoration" is now on my playlist. Her favourite song!
Thank you Lauren for sharing your story...
