Day of discovery

We put the books aside for hours in the morning today! Jack slept (not feeling great) and the rest of us followed the mass of butterflies that must have all been released from hiding all at once. Move over butterfly conservatory !! The warm wind blew an excitement that we could not contain. We ran to the creek and life was in abundance. That made my day so precious. Some days don't feel like that, parts of mine today were redeemed by God's gift of nature! Thank you Lord.
The gift of discovering this world with my children is what I was made for...

Oh, wow!
Did you know I just posted nearly the same thing? I'm just checking yours now and laughing because I don't think we could live more parallel lives!
Gorgeous photos, Chris! Keep up the good work!

Those are some awesome shots. I really need to figure out my camera, and quick..mine are so bad!

Before I forget - do see if you have those wild leeks (sometimes called ramps) in your woods. I'll bet you've got them. You can google it to see what they look like. If you do harvest them, take only a few from each clump. They're like spring bulbs in the way they multiply. So once you take the bulb and all, it's gone. Go in with a small spade and dig down around the plant so you can pull out the bulb.
